PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course

The course includes approx. 3-4 hours of theory lessons and 2-day trips with 3 dives each.

Upon completion of an Advanced Open Water Diving course, you are authorized to dive to a maximum depth of 30m. Advanced Open Water Diving (AOWD) certification is a requirement on many liveaboards around the world.

The focus of the Advanced Open Water Diving (AOWD) course is on compass navigation and deep diving. When deep diving, we go to a depth of about 30 m and want to determine how susceptible you are to the rapture of the deep. To do this, we do a few tasks at a depth of about 30 m to determine whether you are still able to solve them. You will also learn to navigate with the compass and how to use a compass to navigate a 30m square underwater.

After completing the Advanced Open Water Diving (AOWD) course, you belong to the advanced diving group and can immediately participate in all diving activities up to a maximum of 30 m.

Description

Day 1:

  • pick up at your accommodation between 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.
  • with boat from Chalong Pier to Racha Yai about 1 ½ hours during the crossing there is breakfast on board
  • first dive after arrival for about 40 minutes to a maximum depth not deeper then 30 m in the sea
  • Lunch on board approx. 1 hour
  • second dive & third dive for about 40 minutes to a maximum depth not deeper then 30 m in the sea
  • Around 4 p.m. we are back in the port of Chalong
  • Transportation to the hotel

 

Day 2:
